Steve Hass with Ravi Coltrane

Do me a favor. Someone call me when Steve Michaud get's called to play with Wayne Krantz, Christian McBride, Cher, Billy Joel, Thalia, Manhattan Transfer and John Scofield. Since he has sooo much on Hass. Gimmie a break. No need to compare, they're both great. One's a pro with unbreakable pocket though. Guess which one?
I was looking for recordings with Steve M. Where are they? I found 3.

No one said Steve M sucked. He's a great player. But if you can't see that Randy started this little "disagreement" than you're blind. He came in the middle of our discussion and said Hass has nothing on Michaud. Hass has nothing to do with Michaud. There was no reason for that. By threatening to ban folks who did nothing wrong, you're only jeapordizing the boards reputation. I don't get that. Be cool. Read what happened. Randy's is in the wrong, he even aplogized to Para. End of story. Para did nothing wrong and neither did I. Randy when as far as to do it again in Steve Michaud post. Why don't you threaten to ban him! HA! He started this whole thing!

Before this is over, I'd like to say why there are quite a few Hass fans in here. I don't know if some understand.
Find me this:
A drummer in their late 20s who's a great producer and writer for television and film. A drummer who not only had great fast chops, but plays for the song regardless of style. A drummer that knows and plays in band most of the rhythms from Cuba, Argentina, Mexico, Dominican, Jamaica, Africa, Bebop, bigband, ROCK, small group modern jazz, ECM, second line, Greek odd meters, Indian odd meters, R+B, Funk, Soul, 50s rock. Give me a drummer who plays the crap out of that and can solo on all of it, and I'll give you someone who's an equal to HASS in HIS element. Which is being the ultimate all around drummer. Steve M is amazing, but he's got nothing on HASS. Hass can sub in any of Steve Ms situation and get the job on. Steve M wouldn't even get the call to sub for Steve, unless it was with Alan Holsworth or an act he can fit it into like that.
Hass is king of styles. Like the greats. He will progress to have huge success. And that's why I'm a fan. I love what he does. Not how fast he can play.
